THE BITTER WITCH

The idea of The Bitter Witch was developed while I was searching for a deodorant my eldest son could use. His skin is so sensitive that even over-the-counter organic products would create rashes on his underarms. The thought came to me to develop my own deodorant, and with great success, the pieces have fallen into place since.

 

Here at The Bitter Witch, it is of the utmost importance to support local Ohio small businesses and we do so whenever possible. All of the bases used are unprocessed and organic and we firmly believe in not adding artificial coloring or synthetic fragrances to our products.

 

Likewise, almost all body products are vegan friendly; no animals were harmed in making these products, nor were any animal products used (unless you consider beeswax animal products (we use local unprocessed beeswax)). Staying true to producing organic items, that are free of artificial scents and colorings will lead to a finished product that will leave your skin and body feeling refreshed and nourished.

As with all things in life, The Bitter Witch has evolved over time. As I have aged and my increasing need for life balance and harmony...... I started baking again. I have worked in all aspects of the restaurant industry for years, some of that including pastries at a little restaurant in Upstate NY. The macarons were brought into my creative world in the winter of 2020 into 2021. I have loved every failed batch and creative flavor. Slowly, I am adding more items to the menu of baked goods. Truffles, maybe breads, and some unique other items will be added soon. I love the fact that I make these all from scratch and with as little ingredients as the recipe can tolerate. My sourdough starter is coming on 3 years old now!!! 

The past few months has had me going back to my authentic self and getting my hands into the plants once again. Our new Tea blends have become a reality. So many exciting things..........
